The Respondent Experience (REX to its friends) research on research that my friend and colleague Kerry Hecht of Recollective and I presented at IIEX last summer has exploded! We’ve joined forces with Andrew Cannon of the Global Research Business Network, who is coming at this from a perspective of building consumer trust in research—a great tie-in and fascinating for me after so many years of working on the Edelman Trust Barometer.
We’re currently in the throes of replicating this in 11 countries, and I’m on my way to present the US findings at the meeting of the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO) with Andrew and Cyrus McCandless of Sentient, one of our many partners on this endeavor! (Other partners are P2 Sample, who’s been in it from the beginning, Research Now, and Decipher.)
It’s great to see that the trifecta of respect for respondents, awesomely-designed surveys, and transparency about purpose is resonating with people! We are only talking for 15 minutes tomorrow, but I think it’s going to be a great way to kick start an industry-wide revolution.
