Creating the ideal in-store shopping experience

Challenge

A major department store wanted to hear from shoppers in 4 redesigned pilot stores around the country to learn which new store features elevate in-store shopping experiences before a broader rollout.

Approach

Southpaw Insights conducted both in-store and virtual 1-on-1 shop-alongs, walking around with customers to hear their real-time reactions to the latest store features.

Result

Based on shoppers’ input, we were able to recommend features to be implemented widely, such as more navigational signage and luminous displays.
