Challenge

As part of its effort to lead on environmental stewardship, a multinational food conglomerate sought consumer insights into its potential shift to post-consumer recycled (PCR) packaging.

Approach

Southpaw Insights conducted an online survey among a representative, national cross-section of US adult grocery decision-makers and an augmented sample of environmentally conscious consumers.

Result

The research provided the company with insights for key business decisions around the switch to PCR packaging, including consumer impressions of PCR, impact on purchase intent, and how to best communicate the change.
